We respect your privacy. This page explains what this website collects and how The Alder Inn uses it.
What you give us
When you fill out a form, request a stay, book a visit, sign up for an event, sign the rental agreement or buy something, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, phone number, dates and any message. We use it to answer you, hold your room or your time, send reminders and run your event, and we never sell it.
Signed agreements
If you sign the barn rental agreement, we keep the signed copy, your typed or drawn signature, the date and time and a record of your device, so that we can show what you agreed to. We email you a copy. We keep signed agreements for seven years after the event.
Payments
We take deposits and balances by secure payment link, and shop orders through checkout on this site. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, and we never ask for one by email, text or phone.
Letters from the Alder and booking reminders
If you sign up for Letters from the Alder, or tick “Email me news and offers” on a form, we send you a few emails a year and every one has an unsubscribe link. Booking confirmations and reminders are sent whether or not you sign up for news.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without cookies and without identifying you. The shop’s cart remembers what you’ve added in your browser, and nothing else.
Other services
Some pages show maps, a video or a booking or payment page from another company. They have their own privacy policies.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what we have about you, email stay@alderinnvt.com or call (802) 555-0148. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll post the new version here, with its date. Last updated October 28, 2026.
