Included with every room
Margo’s breakfast is the reason people come back
Breakfast is in the dining room from 8 to 9:30, and it’s included in every room. Margo has cooked it since 2011: blueberry-ricotta pancakes, eggs from a farm in Hyde Park, local sausage, granola, fruit and fresh pastries, with maple syrup boiled by her cousins in Craftsbury.
She cooks for allergies, vegetarians and the guest who “doesn’t usually eat breakfast.” Most of them do, once.
- Hot breakfast, 8 to 9:30, at the long table
- Gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian made to order
- A private breakfast for two can be booked online

Included for guests, bookable for visitors
Evenings at the fire pit
Dan lights the fire pit by the orchard every evening in season, and the chairs are there for anyone staying with us. If you’d rather have it to yourselves, book a fire-pit evening for two: a blanket, cider or cocoa and a s’mores kit.
In winter we move the fire to the lounge, where there’s a fireplace you can sit within reach of, and a bookshelf nobody has finished.
- Free for guests of the inn
- $28 for two for a private evening
- Cider, cocoa and a s’mores kit

What guests write after they leave
- ★★★★★
“We came up for our tenth anniversary and it was exactly the weekend we needed. The room was warm and quiet, Dan had the fire pit going when we got back from dinner, and Margo’s pancakes ruined every other breakfast for us.”

“We were married in the barn last October with 104 guests. Tess answered every question twice, the barn looked like a dream under the lights, and our grandmother slept in the Alder Suite. Three of our guests have already rebooked for ski season.”

“Rufus the lab got his own water bowl, a biscuit at check-in and a spot by the cottage woodstove. We have stayed in a lot of “pet-friendly” places, and this is the first that actually felt happy to see him.”
